Questions we are asked most
How long does it take to set up a subsidiary?
Indicatively 2–3 weeks after documents, plus apostille time in your country.
Can we own 100% of the Indian company?
In most sectors yes, under the automatic route; a few sectors have caps or need government approval — we confirm for your activity.
Do we need an Indian resident director?
Yes — at least one director must meet the 182-day residence test. We can advise on options.
What is the difference between a liaison office and a subsidiary?
A liaison office cannot earn income or sign contracts; a subsidiary can. See the Liaison office block.
Who signs filings if all directors are abroad?
Digital signatures work from anywhere; we coordinate video-conference board meetings.
